On the afternoon of May 18, 2017 members of the cast and crew of Scandal will be attending PaleyFest at the Paley center in Ney York City, New York to celebrate the Season Six Season Finale.

After the Season Six Finale Celebration at the Paley Center in New York. The Scandal cast gathered to live tweet the Season Six Finale "Transfer of Power". All of the cast were in attendance and were live tweeting the whole episode.
The season began airing on October 5, 2017, and consisted of 18 episodes, bringing the total episode count of the show to 124 episodes. Cast member George Newbern was upgraded to a series regular after being a recurring cast member for the past six seasons.
