- Established in 1973 as a result of the Older Americans Act, Pennsylvania’s 52 Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) have served the Commonwealth’s 67 counties by providing information about resources and service providers, assessing needs for service, making referrals to case managers, and linking to services.

AA is organized by Area, then District. Pennsylvania is made up of 2 areas - Area 59 and Area 60. Area 59 is the Eastern part of the state, and we are in Area 60, which makes up the western half of the state.
District 37 is geographically comprised of the AA groups in the Lehigh and Northampton counties that are located on the east side of the Lehigh River. District 37 is part of Area 59, which is a part of the Eastern Pennsylvania General Service Assembly (EPGSA).
