With the Carmel Wine Walk, Scratch Wines Carmel, and several other delicious wine tasting rooms, you’re sure to satisfy your inner, and maybe outer, sommelier.
- Carmel-By-The-Sea Wine. The four dominant varietals at the tasting rooms in Carmel are Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes come from all over Monterey County including the rich soils of the Saint Lucia Highlands in western Monterey, giving an array of diverse and complex flavors.

There are three wine rooms located right next door to each other, including Manzoni Cellars. It’s a small space, but with a lot of character. The Scheid Vineyardstasting room is bright and modern, with plenty of room to stand at the bar or sit at a table for your tasting. There are few tasting rooms that are open late in Carmel, including Vino Napoli, which is both a tasting room and Italian eatery/wine bar, where you can get a wine flight with your late-night pizza.
