The Black Phone is a 2021 American supernatural horror film directed by Scott Derrickson from a screenplay coauthored with longtime collaborator C. Robert Cargill. It stars Mason Thames as Finney, a teenage boy abducted by a serial child killer known colloquially as The Grabber (Ethan Hawke).
He was most recently seen in the Universal feature, THE BLACK PHONE, starring alongside four-time Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke as Finney Blake, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy who's being held in a soundproof basement by a sadistic, masked killer (played by Hawke).
