We continue to evolve and have achieved Accredited Museum status and the VAQAS quality standard. We are proud to be one of the largest volunteer managed aviation museums in Great Britain. The museum is open 361 days a year everyday except Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
The museum has been open to the public for more than forty years and holds a diverse collection of 76 (seventy-six) aircraft and cockpit sections that cover the history of aviation. Situated 2 miles east of Newark by the Winthorpe Showground, this aviation museum has over 100 aircraft, including a fearsome Vulcan bomber, a Vampire T11, a Gloster Meteor and a de Havilland Tiger Moth, along with a small exhibition on the Royal Air Force.
