    Typography:  Franklin Gothic Heavy (customized) Launched:  August 28, 1981 Rocky Longo revised the logo in 1981, modifying the font of the "20th" wordmark. This became the main design that the company will use in the following logos for almost four decades. On 35mm open matte film scan prints of films produced in 1.85:1 (including the first 2 Home Alone movies, as well as the next 2 Alien films and the third Star Wars movie) as well as later films produced in 2.35:1, the logo is seen at a much farther distance than any other 4:3 version of the logo. Launched:  February 3, 2020 On January 17th, 2020, it was announced that 20th Century Fox would change its name to 20th Century Studios, following Disney's purchase of the company's assets the year prior and likely to avoid confusion with the separate Fox Corporation. The opening design is very similar to the 2016 enhanced version of the 2009 TCF logo, which remained the same, except for the word “Fox” being replaced with the word "Studios", among the changes. The textures were also revised, giving the structure a more shiny look, the sky backdrop having a different design, and the Los Angeles landscape has more details than the last logo. It was created by Picturemill, in collaboration with Blue Sky Studios. This new version was showcased on a TV spot of The Call of the Wild and debuted on said film on February 21, 2020. It is also used as the on-screen logo for 20th Century Studios' home media releases.

  3. Jun 16, 2024 · Only seen on the original releases. The 1994 logo is bylineless in the Disney+/4K prints. In the 2015 digital release of the films, the 1994 logo with the News Corporation byline is removed, except for Episode IV, as 20th Century Fox holds distribution of the film at the time.
