The Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art ("The Johnson Museum") is an art museum located on the northwest corner of the Arts Quad on the main campus of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Its collection includes two windows [1] from Frank Lloyd Wright 's Darwin D. Martin House , and more than 35,000 other works in the permanent collection. [2]
In 1931 the conservatory was chartered as a private college under its current name, Ithaca College. The college was originally housed in the Boardman House, that later became the Ithaca College Museum of Art, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. Modern era Job Hall

In keeping with the College's tradition of exhibiting modern art and student and faculty works -- a tradition that flourished with the opening of the Ithaca College Museum of Art in 1966 -- the Handwerker Gallery primarily displays contemporary art.
