So, after several months of research, I finally landed on The Volunteer State, which was rated the 6th most affordable state to live in. Between reasonable home prices (20% lower than the national average), low property taxes (some of the lowest in the country ) and overall lower cost of everyday essentials (groceries, utilities, transportation), the perks of living in Tennessee keep adding up.
