The LL.M. (Master of Laws) program is a one-year degree program that typically includes 180 students from some 65 countries. The Graduate Program is interested in attracting intellectually curious and thoughtful candidates from a variety of legal systems and backgrounds and with various career plans.
First Year Requirements. *Beginning with students matriculating into the J.D. program in the Fall 2019, requirements have changed to include a 1L Constitutional Law course and an Upper-Level International and Comparative Law course.
The Harvard Law School Graduate Program requires a score of at least 100 on the Internet-based test (IBT), with at least 25 in each of the four subsections. We will accept scores from the TOEFL iBT ® Home Edition, but reserve the right to condition admission on an in-person test.
