Jul 31, 2019 · Well in my area I have two Exxon stations that offer good quality gas (Top Tier gas with detergent additives). They carry three octane choices: 87, 89 and 93 currently priced at $2.59, $2.89 and $3.31. Since the price of 93 is a little steep I filled up with 89.
Feb 10, 2024 · It does help with pre-ignition at the cost of MPG. Fuels mostly vary by additives by each manufacturer, the raw "base stock" fuels are perceived to be basically the same, add the brands "secret formulations" and the distinctions are born.
Jun 10, 2019 · I've seen some people post about getting better gas mileage with high octane. Where I live I usually see 87, 89, and 93 octane and 93 is quite expensive. I don't really have a specific question, I would just like to know people's thoughts on this when it comes to the Ford EcoBoost V6 TT.
