Jun 6, 2021 · Just read through my manual and saw "for best results" run higher octane. I will fill up for the first time tomorrow with 91 octane just to see the difference. I have been running on the dealership gas and assume it is 87.
Jun 28, 2022 · This is what my Ford manual says: Your vehicle operates on regular unleaded gasoline with a minimum pump (R+M)/2 octane rating of 87. Some fuel stations, particularly those in high altitude areas, offer fuels posted as regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating below 87.

Aug 19, 2022 · It feels smoother with higher octane gas but the MPGs are the same. In my 2.7 Bronco all I e put in it is regular and won't be using premium until prices drop more. I would like to run a tank of 93 in it to see difference in power.
Nov 18, 2021 · Higher elevations need less octane because there is less air to compress inside the cylinder. But if you stick a turbo on the engine… you are basically forcing more air into the engine than what would normally be there.
