Check out how fuel cells for utility grid support optimize the grid and improve resilience while meeting net-zero goals and cutting operational costs.
A total cost of ownership model (TCO) is described for emerging applications in stationary fuel cell systems. Solid oxide fuel cell systems (SOFC) for use in combined heat and power (CHP) and power-only applications from 1 to 250 kilowatts-electric (kWe1) are considered. The total cost of ownership
Dec 7, 2023 · Understanding Octane Rating. Octane rating is a measure of a fuel’s resistance to premature ignition, also known as “knocking” or “pinging.” It is defined as the percentage by volume of iso-octane (2,2,4-trimethylpentane) in a mixture of iso-octane and n-heptane that exhibits the same anti-knock performance as the fuel being tested.
This calculator helps you determine the octane rating of a blended fuel mixture from two different fuel sources. Fill in the volumes and octane ratings of both fuels and hit the “Calculate” button to get the resulting octane rating of the mixture.
