Jeffrey Katzenberg (/ ˈ k æ t s ən ˌ b ɜːr ɡ /; born December 21, 1950) is an American media proprietor and film producer. He was the chairman of Walt Disney Studios from 1984 to 1994, a position in which he oversaw production and business operations for the company's feature films.
Alongside Steven Spielberg and Jeffrey Katzenberg, Geffen raised $33 million each, with an additional $500 million from Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. The founders agreed to make fewer than nine movies a year, be free to work for other studios, and go home in time for dinner.
