Anyone take advantage of the Canada Green home grant? I know very little about this, but it sounds like you could get up to $5000 reimbursed in eligible upgrades to your home to make it “greener”. Just wondering if this has been worth it for anyone and what your experience has been like? I applied.
BSG contacted me on March 4, 2022 and let me know they did everything on their part and that the portal would want me to do a final review. I logged onto the portal and it gave me an estimated grant amount ($1800 - insulation, $550 - air sealing, $600 - audit reimbursements) to approve.
I just received my energy audit for the Canada Green Homes grant and thought feedback from this sub might help me make a decision. The big ticket recommendation was window replacement. My windows are currently 30 years old and probably need replacement sooner rather than later.
