Dec 1, 2021 · In 1876, J Ross Robertson established the Evening Telegram in a building once at 67 Yonge St. On its first day, 3,480 copies were printed. Early on, the newspaper sold for 2¢ but was later dropped to a penny. Just four years later, The Tely moved to its brand new building on the southwest corner of King St W and Bay St.
