Oct 19, 2023 · The St. Lawrence Market is a heritage site in downtown Toronto that consists of three buildings: the St. Lawrence Hall, the South Market and the North Market, on the southwest corner of Front Street and Jarvis Street.
The St. Lawrence Market South building is a major public market building in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located on the southwest corner of Front and Lower Jarvis Streets. Along with the St. Lawrence Market North and St. Lawrence Hall, it comprises the St. Lawrence Market complex.
St. Lawrence Market South, on the south side of Front St, is open Tuesday to Sunday, featuring food stalls, restaurants and the St. Lawrence Market Gallery. The South building dates from 1845, has been rebuilt twice, and still incorporates a section of its original building that was used as Toronto City Hall from 1845.
