Norfolk County (/ ˈ n ɔːr f oʊ k /) is a rural single-tier municipality on the north shore of Lake Erie in Southwestern Ontario, Canada with a 2016 population of 67,490. Despite its name, it is no longer a county by definition, as all municipal services are handled by a single level of government.

Oct 24, 2012 · Norfolk County, Ont, incorporated as a city in 2001, population 63 175 (2011c), 62 563 (2006c). The City of Norfolk County is located 56 km southwest of Hamilton and 97 km southeast of London. Created as a county in 1792, it was named for Norfolk, England.
May 2, 2022 · Norfolk County itself would be created as a constituency for the Legislative Assembly of Upper Canada in July 1792. Six years later, the county was reduced in size. One year after Norfolk County was formed, Cartwright’s Landing was established.
