Jul 12, 2024 · This logo was partially designed by Nate Carlson, who created retro-style logo variants for Miramax and Focus Features for use in the movie The Holdovers. Miramax loved his work so much that they requested to use his design in another logo for use in their other films.
The MIRAMAX wordmark has been used since 1987, surviving various ownership changes since. After Disney sold the studio to Filmyard Holdings in 2010, the word "Films" was dropped from the name and logo, becoming simply "Miramax" the next year.

As we zoom in closer to the buildings, several lights begin forming the print Miramax Films logo, simply in white (no glowy effects like last time). The city skyline fades to black as the Miramax Films logo forms, piece by piece, while zooming towards the center of the screen. The end result is similar to the 2nd logo.
Dec 31, 2014 · As you can tell, I found this fullscreen Miramax logo from the DVD copy of Jackie Brown. I added the classic fanfare to the logo and make it look like it was stunning. Then, I upscaled it into 4K using DaVinci Resolve and now it looks better in 4K.
