    When you've been in an accident, you want to get things back to normal as quickly as possible. You can file your claim using usaa.com or the USAA Mobile App at any time. And the My USAA Claims Center helps you know where you are in our 5-step claims process along the way. Here's what our process looks like.

    Step 1 Report

    You'll tell us what happened, then reserve a rental car and set your method of inspection in the My USAA Claims Center.

    Step 2 Investigate

    We'll determine who's responsible for the accident, typically within 14 days after you file your claim. Then, we'll let you know what we need and what your next steps are.

    Step 3 Estimate

    Get your car inspected, so we can estimate how much the repairs will cost. It can take up to 7 business days for us to receive and review the inspector's report. Then once we write the estimate, we'll let you know when work can begin.

    We'll also work to recover any money paid out for your claim — including your deductible — if our investigation finds you're not responsible for the accident.
