Joseph (possible last name Martello), better known as Hammerhead, is a crime boss supervillain from Marvel. He is one of the dangerous enemies of Spider-Man, Daredevil and the Punisher. While we know little about his past, the unnamed Maggia gangster named Joseph was wounded in a brawl.
The story takes him from London to Portugal, where he investigates the activities of the mysterious Flemish villain Mr Hammerhead (Peter Vaughn, who went on to play Grouty in TV’s Porridge), a collector of pornography.
