- The Keg Mansion. This may be one of the more obvious, or well-known, haunted buildings in Toronto. Originally built in 1867 for the McMaster family, and was later purchased by the Massey family.
- Fairmont Royal York Hotel. Fairmont appears to have a thing for reportedly haunted properties, Château Laurier in Ottawa, the Empress in Victoria and Toronto’s Royal York are all apparently properties with paranormal activity.
- Gibralter Point Lighthouse. Many ghost stories come about as a result of an unsolved mystery, and the haunting of Gibralter Point Lighthouse is no exception.
- Don Jail. The old Don Jail is closed now, but if you watch any ghost hunting shows at all, you know that ghosts love to hangout in jails. The old Don Jail is allegedly one of Toronto’s most haunted buildings.

This house — now a city-run historic site — is where Toronto’s first-ever mayor, William Lyon Mackenizie, died in 1861. He passed away in a bedroom on the second floor of the house, and according to some, you can still hear his ghost playing the piano at night.

The first-ever resident of this lighthouse on the Toronto Islands was a man by the name of John Paul Radelmuller. He was gruesomely murdered and dismembered by soldiers from nearby Fort York looking for bootlegged beer.
