- Feel regal at Port Cailhau. One of our favorite sites in the city, Port Cailhau has been impressing visitors to Bordeaux for over 500 years. It has been almost unaltered from the time it was built in 1494.
- Admire Place des Quinconces. At 31 acres, Place des Quinconces is the largest city square in France and one of the largest in Europe. It’s often the home of outdoor concerts, festivals, and fairs, as we found during our visit when the twice-annual antique and flea market Brocante des Quinconces was on.
