Montevideo (/ ˌ m ɒ n t ɪ v ɪ ˈ d eɪ oʊ /, [10] US also /-ˈ v ɪ d i oʊ /; [11] Spanish: [monteβiˈðeo]) is the capital and largest city of Uruguay.
