- Take a walk around Lake Guthridge. Lake Guthridge in Sale is an artificial lake measuring 850 meters long and 400 meters at its widest. The lake was originally a bog and turned into a water supply for earlier settlers.

- Sale Botanic Gardens. Dating from the second half of the 19th century, Sale Botanic Gardens take up a five-hectare patch on the east bank of Lake Guthridge, which took shape a little later.
- La Trobe Swing Bridge. The first movable bridge to be constructed in Victoria lies five kilometres out of Sale to the south. Still in working order and dating back to 1883, the La Trobe Swing Bridge is 45 metres long, with a wrought iron structure that pivots on circular rails supported by steel columns.
Sale is the gateway to a number of attractions along the southern part of the Ninety Mile Beach. The small towns of Seaspray and Golden Beach directly front the pristine coastline, while Loch Sport is situated on a peninsula wedged between Lake Victoria and the ocean of Bass Strait.
