- You started out with a career in hip-hop. What was your transition like when you began writing for film? So I got off Universal, and I was like, okay, I’m going to be the guy in Hollywood where I’m going to do all the songs.

- What advice would you give up-and-coming composers and producers? Do what I do: Go on IMDB or go on Box Office Mojo. Look up the top 30 pictures of the year; look at who the supervisors are … look in the music department.
