The Terra Nova Sulphite Company Pulp Mill is a large concrete structure on Angle Brook in Alexander Bay in Glovertown. The building was constructed in 1920 by the Norwegian company Terra Nova Sulphite Company Limited.

Noel’s Funeral Home in Carbonear and Green’s funeral Home in Winterton are merging to become Sunrise Funeral Co-operative. They say this province is the only one in Atlantic Canada not to have a funeral co-op.
