Jean Yanne (July 18, 1933 – May 23, 2003) was a popular standup comic, actor, director, producer and screenwriter who made his film debut in Alain Jessua’s La Vie à l’envers (1964), and had leading roles in Jean-Luc Godard’s Week End (1967), and Claude Chabrol’s Que la bête meure (1969).
