Death to Smoochy. Death to Smoochy is a 2002 American black comedy movie, directed by and starring Danny DeVito and co-starring Robin Williams, Edward Norton, Catherine Keener, and Jon Stewart. Tommy puts pressure on Sheldon to include Spinner in his show (although she later supports and defends him for that favor) and she and her goons occasionally take matters into their own hands to deal with problematic people (even killing someone). Various people conspire to have Smoochy/Sheldon assassinated.
Now Smoochy has the penthouse, billboard and smooth-talking agent (Danny DeVito). But Sheldon quickly learns that children's television is a dangerous, backstabbing world--but his biggest problem is Rainbow Randolph, who, broke and homeless, has sworn Death to Smoochy.
