Nov 4, 2010 · CBC/Radio-Canada plans a year of celebrations leading up to the 75th anniversary of the creation of the public broadcaster. The Canadian Broadcasting Act went into effect on Nov. 2, 1936, and established a new Crown corporation, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, taking over from the Canadian Radio Broadcasting Commission.

Night: The background is colored black, and the CBC logo is purple. 50th Anniversary (the only known non-daypart version): The background is black, and the CBC logo is gold. Only used in 1986.
