Antonio Pinto was born in Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil. He is known for his work on Colateral (2004), Cidade de Deus (2002) and A Hospedeira (2013). Son of famed cartoonist Ziraldo, brother of film and stage director Daniela Thomas, brother of film director Fabrizia Alves Pinto, first cousin of film actor Fernando Alves Pinto.
Brazilian film composer Antonio Pinto has scored independent film hits such as Central Station and City of God, among other Brazilian features. Recently, however, Hollywood came calling when director Michael Mann selected Pinto to compose several cues, including the end credit, "Requiem," for the Tom Cruise/Jamie Foxx thriller Collateral.
