The Thomas Berry Foundation was established in 1998 by Yale University professors John Grim and Mary Evelyn Tucker to foster his work, and an annual Thomas Berry Award is given in recognition of outstanding work in the areas of Berry’s prime concern. In 2000, Berry was honoured at the United Nations Millennium Summit of Religious Leaders.
