Jun 19, 2024 · Hi, I was wondering if in the trimmer there is a way to mark in and out points, but just sending out audio or just video into your timeline? Right now when I just need video for example I always remove the audio track by clicking alt right after. It does the job but it works quite sloppy.
5 days ago · Take the output from the TASCAM via 3.5mm audio out into an XLR adapter and feed it back to a camera XLR input and feed it back as part of the audio stream via HDMI. There are many points of failure with each solution.

I had a really fun time taking this beautiful machine apart and was delighted to find out the only repair it needed was a replacement of the capstan belt (as well as a cleaning off of the previous, melted belt). Jun 8, 2024 · #1. Hi there! I'm a wedding filmmaker, and had my x8 plugged into a speaker via XLR. I've noticed during two of my recent weddings the sound would cut out for a split second intermittently. Does anyone know what would cause this? Could it be the cables, or the recorder?? I've attached a sample below via youtube. Tascam X8 Cutting out issue. Thanks!
