Ealing is the oldest continuously working studio facility for film production in the world. The grade II listed sound stages were opened in 1931, when the studios were developed by Associated Talking Pictures under theatre producer Basil Dean. In 1938, celebrated film producer Michael Balcon took over the Studios.

Ealing has 5 stages ranging from 1,000 – 10,000 square feet, comprised of three classic 1930s sound stages and two smaller stages that are perfect for VFX, camera tests, pack shots and stills. The Studios are also equipped with workshops, prop stores, make-up and costume facilities that cater to all kinds of productions.

Nov 28, 2022 · Ealing Studios in west London has made movies such as Bridget Jones, St. Trinians' and The Theory of Everything. However, it is now small and outdated compared to other working studios.
And since 2002, Ealing Studios has been up and running again, a successful production company, a lively and expanding centre for filmmaking and a major player in a resurgent British film industry. Michael Balcon 's studio may be long gone, but the bonds between Ealing and film are too strong to be lost to the past. Mark Duguid.
