Following the dissolution of MCA, Universal Studios introduced a brand new logo on December 9, 1996, and was given a proper animation to accompany it in 1997, which first appeared on The Lost World: Jurassic Park. A logo similar to the 1st Universal Cartoons logo is shown, set against a blue starry night background with golden and white stars.
