Jun 21, 2024 · Malice Mode was the third and most difficult game mode introduced in the Calamity Mod, serving as an increased difficulty level to Death Mode. It can be activated by using the Tormented Mind of Malice, which can be crafted at any Altar and does not have any ingredients.
You start the world in Expert, just like Vanilla. Once you’re in the world, open up your inventory and look for a grey hexagonal icon around the top-middle of your screen. That’s the Calamity difficulty-selector. As long as no bosses are alive, you can adjust the custom Calamity difficulty at any time.
