Leo Bernard Gorcey (June 3, 1917 – June 2, 1969) was an American stage and film actor, famous for portraying the leader of a group of hooligans known variously as the Dead End Kids, the East Side Kids and, as adults, The Bowery Boys.

Gorcey, whose funeral services will be Friday, rose to stardom in the street kid role, and never escaped it the rest of his professional life. He died Monday of a recurring ailment at Merritt Hospital in Oakland.
Hall later played the increasingly buffoonish Horace DeBussy "Sach" Jones in 48 of "The Bowery Boys" films, gaining top billing when his longtime partner, Leo Gorcey, left the series in 1956. Hall and Gorcey reunited in Second Fiddle to a Steel Guitar (1966) and The Phynx (1969).

He was 52 years old. Mr. Gorcey, who retired from motion pictures 15 years ago, lived on a ranch near Red Bluff, California.
