Making the surface more rubbery or “grippy” may temporarily help, but if the rubber is hardened it is hardened all the way through. And the roller doesn’t work by gripping the tape…because it’s not a driven roller. It’s a passive idler.

   Jun 22, 2024 · Any ideas how to fix this? What should be record setting be set to? The DR-40X is connected on the Record out on the mixer by RCA and then the RCA turns into a XLR. The XLR for each L/R speaker connect to each appropriate side. No idea what would be causing this. You must log in or register to reply here.
