Jun 4, 2024 · The capstan shaft is what drives tape in PLAY mode. The pinch roller, if slick or hardened, needs to be replaced. Making the surface more rubbery or “grippy” may temporarily help, but if the rubber is hardened it is hardened all the way through.

Jun 22, 2024 · What should be record setting be set to? The DR-40X is connected on the Record out on the mixer by RCA and then the RCA turns into a XLR. The XLR for each L/R speaker connect to each appropriate side. No idea what would be causing this. You must log in or register to reply here.
