Jun 2, 2024 · Hi, i had a question about mixing down an entire project to a 122 for my cassette master. I had previously recorded a few songs on my 4track and i am confused on the best way to make all my tracks cohesive. Can i monitor the levels just from 4track to tape deck and hope for the best?
Restored a Tascam 488 this weekend! I had a really fun time taking this beautiful machine apart and was delighted to find out the only repair it needed was a replacement of the capstan belt (as well as a cleaning off of the previous, melted belt). Jun 22, 2024 · The DR-40X is connected on the Record out on the mixer by RCA and then the RCA turns into a XLR. The XLR for each L/R speaker connect to each appropriate side. No idea what would be causing this. You must log in or register to reply here. After awhile of trail and error i figured out how to record mixes on this.
6 days ago · I’ve got a Tascam 644, that’s actually sort of working. I have loads of analog tracks on various cassettes, all stamped with Tascams own sync on track 4. (FSK, MC…. or whatever) I also have an old (midi interface) Steinberg SMP 24, firmware 1,6, that also is indeed working. It is supposed to transfer the sync code to the DAW.
