Tascam 488 MkII (Not working) Looking for advice Hello, I purchased a tascam 488 MkII some month ago, and it doesn't work at all, when I plug it it makes some noises but that's all, I think the problem may be the trans power (i.e pic 2) but I'm not sure, so I ask y'all if I'm correct or not and if so what I could do like repair or replace it, and how much that would cost etc..
6 days ago · I’ve got a Tascam 644, that’s actually sort of working. I have loads of analog tracks on various cassettes, all stamped with Tascams own sync on track 4. (FSK, MC…. or whatever) I also have an old (midi interface) Steinberg SMP 24, firmware 1,6, that also is indeed working. It is supposed to transfer the sync code to the DAW.
Jun 7, 2024 · #1. Hey fellow audiophiles, I'm encountering a snag trying to route a signal from the Model 12 to my recently refurbished Akai GX-4000D tape deck. My aim is to tape my music using the Akai, but it seems the Model 12 isn't transmitting anything to it via the sub outputs.
Jun 22, 2024 · The DR-40X is connected on the Record out on the mixer by RCA and then the RCA turns into a XLR. The XLR for each L/R speaker connect to each appropriate side. No idea what would be causing this. You must log in or register to reply here. After awhile of trail and error i figured out how to record mixes on this.
Hello, I just got a Model 12 and am having troubles sorting out how to set it up with Ableton Live so i can pre-cue tracks with the model 12's solo button hear it on headphones. Currently the headphones are playing the main mix out and if i hit the solo buttons nothing changes.

Jun 21, 2024 · DAT tapes are problematic and basically you will only get a proper audio playback if everything is right, down to fine tolerances. It's possible the tape has already been damaged due to tape binder issues or a problem with the machine.
