Jun 13, 2024 · for narrative filmmaking I'm thinking of buying Rode NTG-4+mic with boom kit. I read its better than NTG2, and when connected directly via XLR to BMPCC4K, it has decent results. However, for more static scenes I would use it on a boom and plug it in a recorder like Tascam DR-40x or DR-100mkiii.
