I submitted student work and Turnitin gave it a fairly low similarity score, but 100% AI score. The student told me that he had Grammarly edit his work. Unfortunately, he composed his work on Grammarly (at least, that is what he says), so there isn't any original document that was corrected by Grammarly.

Check with your institution's account administrator to see if they have purchased AI detection starting Jan 1, 2024. This is major issue. As a teacher in the US, most schools operate Sept to June. I have been working with the belief that I would be using the AI function for my whole school year.

Please note that I am unable to provide a timeframe for when a fix will be implemented at this time, so I would recommend keeping an eye on the Turnitin release notes page as the resolution along with any other bug fixes and releases will be communicated there.
Unfortunately, my research report was submitted to Turnitin last week from the instructor account of the wrong university, after that I requested permanent deletion and administrator approved it. for sometime the similarity was removed while after 2 days it is again at same percentage but paper is deleted by my adminstrator.

Turnitin's grading tools only allow numerical values within Turnitin's own rubrics and the final grade value field when looking at the individual submission. In a longer document with a mix of authentic writing and AI generated text, it can be difficult to exactly determine where the AI writing begins and original writing ends, but our model should give you a reliable guide to start conversations with the submitting student.
