Oct 19, 2020 · Unfortunately Netscape was really abandoned (which means that isn't safe anymore and also that newer internet features and protocols won't work on it), the closest thing you can get from Netscape is Firefox, because it uses part of Netscape's source code. I suggest the new Microsoft Edge as your new internet browser, it is very fast and safe.

To remove a program from Windows go to Control Panel, select Programs and Features, and when it opens it opens to the uninstall a program page. There just click on the program you want to uninstall (Adobe Reader), and then click the word Uninstall from the menu bar.
Moved ripped cd files to win7; won't play because of DRM, sends me to MS page to upgrade but won't upgrade because I don't have a netscape plugin.....using firefox and it has the windows media plugin...is netscape even being used anymore....
Sep 17, 2019 · Personally, I'd go with Google Chrome or, if you have concerns about using Google, then Firefox. I've been using Firefox since it was Netscape Navigator, and there are very few sites for which it won't work. Unless you're comfortable with conducting free beta testing for Microsoft, I wouldn't install Edge Chromium on your Windows 7 system.
