May 24, 2024 · The OG has over 100 hours and sounds better than the LIM with the NS5000. However, I am not sure if that is the DAC for the long-term. The OG sounds good with the LRS+ but the LIM is my preference. I moved the OG to my office and stacked it on top of the LIM. I put the OG with my RAAL VM-1a tube headphone amp.
May 12, 2024 · FLAC is 60% the size of the original file. Although, in most cases, you may not be able to hear the difference…with a high resolution system and good ears, the difference is there. My argument is twofold: 1) file size is not an issue these days so why compress. 2) once you convert to FLAC, there is no going back.

These companies have been in existence for decades and are still top brands because of technological innovation and refinement over decades.

The woofers in the coupled cavity design of my speaker crossover at 200 hz into the mid/tweet concentric, which handles the rest. (Elac Adante AC61 from Andrew Jones).
May 6, 2024 · I only have a couple random low end audioquest cables that I got as part of purchases several years ago. Shunyata recently launched two new lines, Gamma and Theta. I was thinking about the Gamma and to start with my monoblocks for the first 2 cables of a system that needs 6 total. It would cost about $1300 for those 2.
