Tim Fehlbaum (born 1982 in Basel) is a Swiss film director. Fehlbaum in 2011. Career. Fehlbaum studied directing from 2002-2009 at the University of Television and Film Munich. While there, he made several short films, music videos and worked as camera operator on documentary films.

Tides (also known as The Colony) is a 2021 English-language German-Swiss science fiction thriller film directed and written by Tim Fehlbaum. The film stars Nora Arnezeder, Iain Glen, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, and Joel Basman.
2012 gewann Fehlbaum den New Faces Award für Hell. Sein Endzeit-Thriller Tides feierte 2021 in der Berlinale Special-Reihe auf der Berlinale seine Premiere. Der Film wurde mit vier Deutschen Filmpreisen und zwei Bayerischen Filmpreisen für Beste Regie und Beste Kamera ausgezeichnet.
