Arthur W. Hodes (Ukrainian: Артур Гоудс; November 14, 1904 – March 4, 1993), was a Russian Empire-born American jazz and blues pianist. He is regarded by many critics as the greatest white blues pianist.

Arthur W. Hodes (November 14, 1904 in Ukraine; died March 4, 1993 in Harvey, Illinois) is an American jazz pianist born in Ukraine. His family settled in Chicago, Illinois when he was a few months old.
Hodes hosted a television series, Jazz Alley, for a time in the 1960s, wrote for Downbeat, and was a jazz educator. Art Hodes recorded frequently during the 1970s and ’80s, and was widely recognized as one of the last survivors of Chicago jazz.
American jazz pianist and bandleader. He played with Wingy Manone, Joe Marsala, Mezz Mezzrow, Gene Krupa, Muggsy Spanier and others. In 1941 forming his own band and recorded for Signature, Decca and Black & White records.
