In the 21st century Ireland has become the base for a number of high-end international TV dramas including The Tudors (2007-2010), Ripper Street (2012 – 2016), Penny Dreadful (2014 – 2016), Vikings (2013 – present), Into the Badlands (2017 – present), and Nightflyers (2018 – present).

Screen Ireland can fund 100% of the production cost of €100,000 for feature length films (live action and documentary. For further information, please consult the Fiction Irish Production Funding Section. The same form, procedures and guidelines apply.
As the national agency for the Irish film, TV drama, animation and documentary industry, Fís Eireann/Screen Ireland is the creative partner to the sector, investing in talent, creativity and enterprise. We are inspired by original storytelling that will emotionally engage audiences at home and abroad.
