Risen is a 2016 biblical drama film directed by Kevin Reynolds and written by Reynolds and Paul Aiello. An American-Spanish co-production, the film stars Joseph Fiennes, Tom Felton, Peter Firth, and Cliff Curtis, and details a Roman soldier's search for Jesus's body following his resurrection.
Feb 18, 2016 · A Roman soldier (Joseph Fiennes) searches for the resurrected Christ in this Biblical spectacular co-written by Paul Aiello. The film has battle scenes, CinemaScope images, and a spiritual crisis, but also clunky set-pieces and CGI.
He received considerable acclaim for playing a racist New York City cop in Fort Apache, The Bronx (1981) with Paul Newman. In 1981, Aiello won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in Children's Programming for his appearance in an ABC Afterschool Special called A Family of Strangers.
