Julian Francis Kandahar Nott (born 24 November 1960) is a British composer and conductor, mostly of animated films. His credits include Wallace and Gromit and Peppa Pig.
Julian Nott (22 June 1944 – 26 March 2019) was a British balloonist who later lived in Santa Barbara, California. He was known for his record-setting achievements. Nott set 79 world ballooning records and 96 British aviation records.
Julian Nott is a film and television music composer, best known for scoring the Wallace and Gromit films, and more recently Peppa Pig. However animation is only one aspect of his work - feature films, television drama and commercials are also very much part of his musical output.
Biography. Julian came to music relatively late. After studying Music and Politics and Economics at Oxford University, he worked for a management consultancy firm in the City for a number of years.
Known as the founder of the modern ballooning movement, and one of its most creative and innovative exponents, Julian was changing the course of balloon history with the development of an entirely new system in which conventional ballast is replaced with cryogenic helium.
