Feb 28, 2016 · Last September Chris Eyre and his friend Robbie Austin were sheep hunting near Fort Nelson, B.C., when they were attacked by a bear protecting her cubs.
Robbie Austin is an artist, a teacher, a father, and a husband – though that order fluctuates regularly. He lives in a 112-year-old house, in the town he was born, one-half mile from his high school alma mater, where he has taught for 18 years. Louisiana “bookends” his pilgrimage.
Robbie Austin pulls curiosities through his SoCal education and plants them in a southern mystique. Trained as a sculptor, categorized a painter, more interested in drawing, Robbie creates lines for/of/with his devoted interest in new wave music and mystical spirituality.
